The Purpose
Homeschooling presents a wonderfully unique opportunity to take ownership of your child’s educational experience during their formative years. Enrichment is essential in a child’s development and educational journey, and that’s where we come in! Our homeschool series of classes are specifically developed for families that homeschool and will be intentionally designed to promote critical thinking, problem solving, and foster creativity. Additionally, these classes will be an excellent opportunity for socialization among the homeschool community!

Upcoming Classes
All of our classes will be tailored for ages 5-14. Older students will be given more challenging components to make it age appropriate and the kids feel challenged. In each series, the kids will discuss: process, meaning, purpose, and design concepts through hands on learning.
Every class will include one or more of the following:
- Construction/ Engineering skills
- Historical Meanings/ Cultural Relevance
- Creative & Visual Arts

HOW MANY KIDS ATTEND A CLASS?
As of now, we will only have openings for 14 kids per class. If the demand is high, we will create another class to accommodate the needs of our members.
ARE YOU AFFILIATED WITH ANY OFFICIAL HOMESCHOOL PROGRAM?
While the instructor is a former teacher, no, we are not affiliated with any official program. We are a creative studio space that is offering fun & creative classes with extra hands on educational value.
WHAT IF I SIGN UP MY CHILD AND WE DECIDE IT IS NOT THE RIGHT FIT FOR US?
If you try a class and you decide that it is not a right fit for them, just let us know and we can refund you for the remaining classes you will not attend and take you off the roster for all future classes.
WHAT IF WE WANT TO DO A YEAR OF CLASSES, BUT WE JOINED LATER IN THE YEAR?
No worries! Just reach out to us and we can prorate the cost for you up until November. After that point, we suggest just doing the seasonal sign up.
WHAT IF I JOIN THE SEASONAL SERIES LATE?
If you sign up to 2 weeks behind, we will prorate your cost accordingly. After that, we suggest you pay monthly and sign up for the next seasonal series.
WHAT IF MY KID(S) ARE SICK OR WE HAVE TO MISS A CLASS?
We understand sometimes kids get sick or things come up. We ask that you email us at:
partyteam@ohmycreativeparty.com as soon as you know your child will not be there so she can plan appropriately.
With 24 hrs+ notice, we do give 50% refund for that class. No shows to the class or less than 24 hrs will receive no refunds. We appreciate your understanding. There is a lot of prep involved in each class.
CAN I DROP MY KID(S) OFF? OR DO I STAY DURING THE CLASS?
You are absolutely welcome to stay if desired, but you are also free to drop off your child. We ask that you arrive 5 min before class time and be there to pick up a few minutes before it is scheduled to end.
WHAT SHOULD MY CHILD BRING TO THE CLASS?
Even though our classes are only 90 min. We encourage you to bring water if desired.
Example: IF WE ARE SIGNED UP FOR WEDNESDAY CLASSES BUT CAN MAKE IT TO TUESDAY'S CLASS FOR 1 WEEK, CAN WE ATTEND THE OTHER CLASS?
With prior approval from Ms. Karen, it usually isn't a problem to attend the other day's class, as long as it is not a constant issue. We just ask you don't flipflop back and forth from classes. We also need to be made aware beforehand so we can make sure any materials or prior projects they are working with are ready for them on the proper day. If you need to make a permanent change from one day to another, again, just discuss with Ms. Karen and if there is space, we can typically accommodate.
Meet Ms. Karen
Karen is a retired police officer that spent 4 years as a preschool teacher in California. While at the LAPD, she started a program called the Jeopardy Program where they tutored and helped inner city kids after school. She moved to Georgia for 5 years and in 2025 settled in Summerville, SC to be closer to family. She is wife, mother and grandmother.
She is an avid animal lover and advocate. She has worked and volunteered at a dog rescue and has 5 dogs, 2 ducks and a tortoise! Karen loves kids and is so excited to create fun & memorable projects with our homeschool families!
